OPPO Find N foldable smartphone teased
The teaser video reveals the OPPO Find N in a compact form factor featuring a curved display. Upon unfolding, the device transforms in to a tablet similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Interestingly, we could not spot a hinge between the two screens when the smartphone is unfolded. The USB-C port and a speaker grille are located at the bottom of the device.
OPPO says that the Find N is a result of four years of intense R&D and six generations of prototypes which began way back in 2018. The company’s CPO Pete Lau says that the smartphone industry has stalled with the same features like fast charging, high refresh rate displays, mobile photography, and 5G connectivity. Hence, OPPO is foraying into the foldable smartphone segment.
OPPO further claims that the Find N is aimed at solving the major hurdles when it comes to foldable smartphones including display creases, durability issues with the hinge mechanism, etc. The upcoming offering from the brand is said to offer an easy-to-use and innovative experience with simple design, comfortable material, appropriate weight, and size as well as powerful performance.
