The Oppo Find X was unveiled in Paris last month. Today, the flagship device was launched in India at an event held in New Delhi. The phone grabbed eyeballs for its unique design which gives it a full screen completely bezel-less display with a motorized selfie camera unit. Most phone manufacturers have settled for a notch to accommodate the selfie camera but Oppo has taken an innovative approach. Apart from that, it also comes with flagship level hardware and software. Let’s see what the phone has to offer.
The Oppo Find X has a large 6.42-inch Full HD+ display with an AMOLED panel. Its aspect ratio measures at 19.5:9 and the display is completely bezel-less, without a notch or top/bottom chins. This brings the screen-to-body ratio to 93.8%, probably the highest in any smartphone. Since the front is fully occupied by the display, the front camera is housed in a motorized component that slides in and out of the phone. This happens when you toggle the front camera in the camera app or while face unlocking. Whenever the front camera is required, it will slide out and go back in once the job is done.
Coming to the cameras, it has a dual-rear setup comprising of a 20 megapixel sensor with another 16-megapixel sensor. As for the front camera, there is a 25-megapixel selfie snapper that comes with an f/2.0 aperture. Both the cameras are located in the slider which opens up whenever required. Just like most Oppo phones, this one comes with a bunch of AI features in the camera department.

Talking of performance, the Find X has got the best in the business. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which also runs on most Android flagships launched this year. The phone is also coupled with 8GB of RAM which makes it a performance beast. The graphic processing is handled by the Adreno 630 GPU.
On the software front, the Oppo Find X runs on Color OS 5.1 layered on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Since it’s a custom UI, there will be many additional features along with those offered in the stock OS experience. In terms of storage, the phone has 256GB of internal storage along with the capacity to increase it via a microSD card.
One of the most important highlights of the device is its VOOC fast charging. There’s a 3730mAh unit battery fitted in the phone which charges up quite quickly. As per the brand’s claims, the phone offers up to 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charge. It also has all the basic array of connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 801.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0 and USB Type-C.
The Oppo Find X will be available from August 3rd and it is priced in India for Rs. 59,990. It will be sold via Flipkart and may also become available through offline channels soon. Those who pre-order the phone can avail a Flipkart voucher of Rs. 3000.
