Since 2015, Oppo has concentrated on building its market share by selling mid-tier and upper mid-range smartphones. The last time it had launched a flagship phone was in 2014 when it had sold the Oppo Find 7 smartphone. For ardent Oppo fans who have been eagerly waiting to see a new Find series flagship, the company has recently confirmed that it will be launching the Find X smartphone on June 19. The rumor mill as well as TENAA have revealed the entire specifications of the phone. Here is all the information available on the Find X smartphone:
Oppo Find X Specifications and Features
According to the TENAA listing of the Find X, it will be arriving with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. The screen of the phone will be supporting 2K resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is likely that the handset will featured a notched display as it is expected to offer an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
The dimensions of the Find X phone are 156 x 74.2 x 9.6mm and it weighs 186 grams. A popular Indian tipster who has also managed to unearth the specs of the smartphone has revealed that it will be coming in two colors like Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue.
Oppo has confirmed that the Snapdragon 845 chipset will be present under the hood of the Find X along with 8 GB of RAM. The highest configuration model will be coming with 256 GB of storage whereas the lower variant is expected to arrive with 128 GB of storage.
The latest ColorOS 5.1 based Android 8.1 Oreo is expected to come preinstalled on the phone. It is likely to feature a front-facing camera of 25-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. The dual camera setup of the phone may include an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel primary sensor and an f/2.0 aperture 20-megapixel secondary sensor. A 3,730mAh battery is pegged to be present inside the phone. The handset is also expected to arrive with connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ad, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and USB-C. It may not feature a 3.5mm audio jack. Advanced Features Expected on Find X
Rumors have it that the Find X will be packed with some advanced features. It is speculated that the 6.4-inch AMOLED display of the phone will not only feature a notch, but also dual edge curved design that can be seen on Galaxy Note and Galaxy S flagship phones by Samsung. Also, the display of the Find X is rumored to be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The Find X may inherit the breathing light indicator from the Find 7 phone.
Oppo had showcased its advanced Super VOOC fast charging technology at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. According to Oppo, its Super VOOC fast charging technology is even faster than 20W VOOC charging that is available on the current R-series smartphones from the company. The new fast charging technology can fully charge a 2,500mAh battery in just 15 minutes.
At MWC 2017, the Chinese firm had demonstrated a dual camera setup that could support 5x loseless zoom through a periscope like internal arrangement of the lens. Rumors have it the dual cameras of the Find X will be equipped with this advanced optical zoom feature.
Last month, Oppo had held a press event in China to reveal its achievements in 3D sensing and 5G. Hence, the Find X is expected to arrive with 3D facial recognition feature and is also pegged to carry support for 5G connectivity.
Oppo will be holding a launch event on June 19 at 8:45 PM to announce the Find X phone. The event will be held at The Louvre in Paris, France.
