OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro with 4K 120Hz displays and 65W fast charging launched

In 2018, OPPO unveiled the much-awaited OPPO Find X flagship phone. The Snapdragon 845 smartphone came with many advanced features at the time, such as a fullscreen display, slider design with motorised camera and 3D face recognition. The company did not launch a Find X series flagship smartphone in 2019. Today, the Chinese firm announced the Snapdragon 865 driven 5G-ready OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro smartphones. Like its predecessors, the Find X2 series comes with notable features like a 120Hz display, 65W fast charging support, powerful cameras and premium construction.

The OPPO Find X2 features Gorilla Glass 6 on both its front and rear panels. It is an IP54 rated splash-resistant phone. On the other hand, the OPPO Find X2 Pro is an IP54 and IP65 rated splash-proof and dust resistant smartphone The Find X2 and Find X2 Pro sport 6.7-inch quad HD+ resolution AMOLED screens that offer a 20:9 aspect ratio, 513ppi pixel density and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The punch-hole on the screen accommodates the Sony IMX616 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The OPPO Find X2 and X2 Pro are both equipped with triple rear cameras. The camera setup of the Find X2 includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX708 wide-angle lens and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor with support for 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom.

The Find X2 Pro’s triple camera system has the all new custom-developed Sony IMX689 48-megapixel primary shooter. It is equipped with OIS and omni-directional focus. The second lens in the setup is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 wide-angle sensor. Lastly, there is an OIS assisted 13-megapixel periscope zoom lens that brings support for 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and 60x digital zoom.

The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform drives the Find X2 series. The SoC is coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The Find X2 comes with 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage while Find X2 Pro has 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

The Find X2 is equipped with 4,200mAh battery and the Pro variant has a slightly larger 4,260mAh battery. The 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge technology allows the Find X2 series to charge completely in around 38 minutes. The phones run Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1. The other features that are available on the Find X2 and X2 Pro are dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB-C. Both devices lack 3.5mm audio jack.

OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro price and availability

The Find X2 comes in Black Ceramic and Ocean Hues, while the Find X2 Pro is available in Black Ceramic and Orange Vegan Leather colour options. The Find X2 which comes in a  12GB + 256GB variant is priced at €999 (~Rs 83,500), while the X2 Pro which comes in a 12GB + 512GB option will set you back by €1,199 (~Rs 1,00,000). We expect the Find X2 series to be launched in India in a couple of weeks.
