OPPO Find X5 series with Hasselblad camera teased
OPPO has partnered with Hasselblad for three years to co-develop camera technologies for the brand’s flagship Find X series. This is no surprise considering OPPO’s merger with OnePlus that has been using Hasselblad cameras on its flagships since last year.
OPPO Chief Product Officer Pete Lau said in a statement, “Following the success of OnePlus and Hasselblad’s collaboration in the past year, we are very pleased to see the partnership enter a new stage of development, giving more users around the world a chance to enjoy the legendary Hasselblad mobile imaging experience.”
OPPO says that it is committed to offering a world-class photography experience through its self-developed MariSilicon X imaging NPU and now the partnership with Hasselblad. With the collaboration, the Chinese brand will likely pack the same camera features as OnePlus including natural colour calibration, XPan mode and other software improvements.
We can expect OPPO to announce the launch date and tease features of the Find X5 series in the coming weeks. The upcoming flagship lineup is tipped to consist standard, Pro and lite models. All three devices will be 5G compatible and are tipped to come with an elevating triple rear camera module with the brand’s dedicated image processing chip.
