OPPO is reportedly working on a Find X5 Pro version powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The information comes from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. He claimed that the phone may debut next month.

OPPO launched the Find X5 series including the standard, Pro and, Lite variants earlier in February this year. The tipster hasn’t explicitly revealed which phone will come with the upgraded chipset, however, we expect it to be the Pro variant.
OPPO Find X5 variant to get Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor was announced in May and it offers a 10 percent faster CPU and GPU performance compared to the non-plus version. Many smartphone OEMs including iQOO, OnePlus, Motorola are gearing up to launch devices with the latest chipset. Now OPPO is also reportedly joining the bandwagon. Since the Find X5 Pro already comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, we expect it to come with an upgraded Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Apart from the aforementioned information, the tipster also adds that a clamshell folding phone codenamed Dragonfly may debut this year. Additionally, the successor to the OPPO Find N is also said to be in the works. It is expected to be the Find N2 codenamed ‘White Swan’.
DCS also claims that ColorOS 13, OPPO Watch 3, and OPPO Band 2 fitness tracker are also expected to launch later this year.
