Last February, Chinese phone maker OPPO introduced a new K-series smartphone called the OPPO K1 in India. The phone arrived as the most affordable device in the country with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The OPPO K1 was originally launched for Rs 16,990, but its price was dropped to Rs 14,990 a couple of months ago when the handset went on sale in offline stores. Now, the company has reduced the pricing of the OPPO K1 in India once again by Rs 1,000. The smartphone is now available via major brick and mortar stores as well as on Flipkart for Rs 13,990, down from the earlier price tag of Rs 14,990.
OPPO K1 specifications and features
To recap on the OPPO K1, the phone offers a waterdrop notch above the screen that minimalizes the bezels on the two sides as well. The handset comes with a gradient finish at the back. The under-display fingerprint sensor of the device is capable of unlocking it in just 0.41 seconds. The handset has a 6.4-inch display that offers full HD+ resolution and a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Software-wise, the smartphone boots ColorOS 6 that’s based on Android 9 Pie.
Under the hood, the OPPO K1 has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In the camera department, you have a horizontally-placed dual camera setup. There is a 16MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, which is aided by a 2MP secondary snapper. For selfies and video calling, the device has a 25MP shooter that’s placed inside the waterdrop notch above the screen.
In terms of connectivity, the OPPO K1 offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 3,600mAh battery completes the list of the specifications of the OPPO K1. Lastly, the handset is being offered in the country in Piano Black and Astral Blue hues.
