OPPO K9 Pro has launched in China. It is an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 768G-powered OPPO K9 that debuted a few months ago in the brand’s home market.
The K9 Pro offers a 120Hz AMOLED display and it is driven by the Dimensity 1200 chipset. For photography, it has a 64-megapixel triple camera unit, and it is fueled by a large battery that supports fast charging. In terms of specifications, the K9 Pro is identical to the Realme GT Neo that went official in March in China. However, the K9 Pro sports a unique camera module design.
OPPO K9 Pro specifications and features
The OPPO K9 Pro has a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen that delivers Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The display punch-hole available houses a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Dimensity 1200 chipset is at the helm of the device. It is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11.
It has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The rear camera system of the phone features a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The other specs that are available on the device include dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
OPPO K9 Pro pricing and availability
The K9 Pro has arrived in variants such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. They are priced at RMB 1,999 RMB 2,199 (~Rs 25,100) and RMB 2,699 (~Rs 30,800), respectively. It has arrived in three colours like Glacier Overture, Obsidian Warrior, and Neo Silver Sea. OPPO has not launched a K-series phone in India after the OPPO K3, which debuted back in 2019. Hence, it appears that the company may not have any plans to release the K9 Pro in India.
