The iPhone has been a product by Apple that most companies draw inspiration from (read: blatantly imitate), be it the dual camera setup or the mystery behind the missing headphone jacks. However, if recent leaks are to be believed, Oppo may be the first company to duplicate Apple’s flagship device of 2017 with its upcoming smartphone – the Oppo R13.
The recent leaks shed light on what the smartphone will look like. On the back it will carry on the trend of dual-rear cameras, but with a more iPhone-esque look. The cameras will be positioned vertically, just as on the iPhone X. The LED flash also appears to be placed between the cameras.
On the front, the phone will sport a bezel-less display which also bears striking resemblance to the iPhone X. To top that, the R13 is seen to bear a similar notch and home bar at the bottom.
It is still unknown how the phone will handle navigation if the home button and software navigation keys are eliminated. The constraints of Android may be a hurdle to overcome in order to imitate the gestures the iPhone X boasts of.
The live images also suggest that the phone will ship in three colour variants: black, white and blue. More information regarding specifications on this phone is yet to arrive. Stay tuned to this space as we bring you more information on this phone in the coming weeks.
