This year OPPO, launched its first and second-generation Reno and Reno2 series smartphones. Last month, the company announced that the Reno 3 will be announced soon, with the launch date set on December 26th. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been teasing the upcoming Reno series revealing its design, 5G support and battery capacity. Now a promotional poster has leaked, revealing that the Reno 3 Pro 5G will come with a 90Hz display. OPPO is also expected to launch the OPPO A8 and OPPO A91 at the same event.
The Reno 3 series includes a Pro and a standard variant, and both the devices are 5G compatible. However, as seen in the leaked promotional poster, the former features a 90Hz refresh rate panel, 7.7mm thickness (which OPPO already teased), and a punch-hole display. On the other hand, the standard Reno 3 will come with a waterdrop notch and is expected to be equipped with a 64MP camera. Both the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro 5G are confirmed to flaunt a gradient back panel design with a quad-camera setup at the top-left corner. OPPO has confirmed that the standard Reno device will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G processor, while the Pro variant is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 765G chipset.
As for the OPPO A91 and A8, the devices are expected to arrive as mid-range smartphones. The OPPO A8 was spotted on the TENAA certification website and is the successor to the A7 that was launched last year. The promotional poster suggests that the A8 will feature a 6.5-inch display with a waterdrop notch, a 4,250mAh battery unit and 128GB internal storage. The OPPO A91 is tipped to sport a 48MP quad-camera setup and comes with VOOC 3.0 fast charging. It is listed to come in 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
There are no additional details surrounding OPPO’s upcoming smartphones. We expect more information to surface online in the coming days.
