OPPO had launched the Reno 3 series consisting of standard and a Pro variant in December last year. At the time, the smartphones were limited to the Chinese market and there was no word about global availability. Last month we had reported that the Reno 3 Pro was slated to arrive by the third week of February in India. Now OPPO India R&D Head, Tasleem Arif, has tweeted the launch details of the Reno 3 Pro. He stated that the upcoming smartphone is launching soon in the country. He also revealed that there will be 5G versions of OPPO products launching in India later this year.

Arif revealed that the Indian variant of OPPO Reno 3 Pro will come with 4G specifications. This means that the device will be equipped with a different processor compared to the Snapdragon 765G SoC with integrated 5G that powers the Chinese variant. Earlier today, a promotional poster shared by 91mobiles confirmed the existence of a 44MP dual selfie camera inside a punch-hole display cutout. This makes the Reno 3 Pro the first smartphone with a 44MP selfie camera.
OPPO will reportedly launch the Reno 3 Pro global variant in India first. The brand hasn’t announced the launch date but we expect it to happen sometime this month before MWC 2020.

Apart from the processor and front camera, the Indian variant of Reno 3 Pro is expected to retain the specifications from its Chinese counterpart. The China variant features a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate panel. It comes with HDR10+ support and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device sports a quad-rear camera setup comprising of 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, 13MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle snapper and a 2MP depth camera.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 765G chipset is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device is backed by a 4,025mAh battery unit with support for 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. The smartphone runs Android 10 with ColorOS 7.0 on top.
The Reno 3 Pro’s base variant is priced at RMB 3,999 (~Rs 40,600) while the higher configuration retails at RMB 4,499 (~Rs 45,600).
