Last month, OPPO had launched the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro smartphones in China. Both the smartphones arrived with 5G connectivity. Now according to 91mobiles, the Reno 3 Pro is on its way to India and will arrive by the third week of February. The smartphone will feature slightly different specifications as compared to its China variant. Notably, the Reno 3 Pro will arrive as the world’s first smartphone with a 44MP dual punch-hole front camera. OPPO hasn’t revealed the exact launch date of the upcoming smartphone but it is expected to be unveiled soon.
The OPPO Reno 3 series may be launched in standard and Pro versions. The latter won’t come with 5G network support in India. It’s unknown whether the Indian variants will use a different chipset compared to the Chinese counterparts.
OPPO Reno 3 specifications and features
To recap, the Chinese variant of Reno 3 Pro features a single punch-hole cutout for the front camera while the standard variant comes with a waterdrop notch. The Reno 3 series offers a 6.5-inch OLED display bearing FHD+ resolution and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Pro variant comes with a curved screen, a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support.
The Reno 3 series is equipped with quad-rear cameras. The standard variant comes with a 64MP primary shooter along with 8MP+2MP+2MP sensors. The setup on the Pro Pro model consists of a 48MP main sensor accompanied by 13MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. Both the smartphones are fitted with a 32MP selfie snapper.
The standard Reno 3 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000L SoC while the Pro variant houses Snapdragon 765G processor. The devices come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The Reno 3 series is backed by a 4,025mAh battery unit with support for VOOC 4.0 30W fast charging. The smartphones run the Android 10 based ColorOS 7 and come with 5G connectivity support.
