OPPO is gearing up to launch the Reno 3 Pro in India. Recently, 91mobiles had claimed that the smartphone will be announced on February 27th. However, OPPO has now confirmed the launch date of Reno 3 Pro via a teaser on Flipkart as well as on its official website and Twitter handle. It is set to be unveiled on March 2nd. Additionally, e-commerce portals Flipkart and Amazon have listed the upcoming Reno 3 Pro on their dedicated microsite. The teasers confirm the presence of a dual punch-hole camera. The device is also confirmed to debut with 4G specifications instead of the 5G version launched in China. To recall, the latter features a single hole-punch selfie camera. We expect slightly different specifications and features on the India variant.

The teasers reveal that the dual front cameras will be able to capture bokeh effect images. It also says that the dual-lens bokeh will provide a Binocular Bokeh Effect by sharpening the edges and producing a background gradient. Recently, OPPO’s R&D head had highlighted the Reno 3 Pro’s expert camera credentials. The smartphone will be available for purchase on Amazon and Flipkart as well as offline after its launch.
OPPO Reno 3 Pro specifications and features
The OPPO Reno 3 Pro Indian variant will come with 44MP + 2MP sensors inside the dual punch-hole display cutout. It will arrive as the first smartphone with a 44MP selfie camera. The teaser reveals a flat display panel instead of curved edges as found on the China variant. The device is expected to feature a FHD+ OLED display measuring 6.5-inches and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Another difference between the Indian and Chinese variant is in the processor department. The Reno 3 Pro was spotted on the Google Play console with an unannounced Helio P95 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM. This is likely to be the India variant, since the Reno 3 Pro in China is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The smartphone is expected to arrive in more RAM and storage configurations.
The Reno 3 Pro India variant is expected to retain the rest of the specifications from its Chinese counterpart. It is expected to sport a quad-camera setup on the back comprising of 48MP+13MP+8MP+2MP sensors. The device will be backed by a 4,025mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging and run the Android 10-based ColorOS 7.0.
In China, the base and higher configuration Reno 3 Pro is priced at RMB 3,999 (~Rs 40,600) and RMB 4,499 (~Rs 45,600) respectively.
