After teasing for a few weeks, OPPO has expanded its range of Reno series smartphones in its home market of China. The company has just introduced two handsets in the series called the OPPO Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. Both of the brand’s new devices come as mid-range offerings with support for the next-gen 5G networks. While the OPPO Reno 3 has a waterdrop notch above the screen to house the selfie camera, the Reno 3 Pro has a hole in the top-left corner of the display to house the same. Both are also equipped with a quad primary camera setup at the rear.
OPPO Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro specifications and features
Talking about the OPPO Reno 3 first, the phone will be available in two RAM and storage configurations including 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 128GB. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G processor. At the rear, the phone has a 64MP primary quad-camera setup, which is accompanied by an LED flash unit. A 4,025mAh battery with fast charging support keeps the whole package alive.
As for the Reno 3 Pro, the phone is fuelled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor. The 6.5-inch display of the smartphone offers a high screen refresh rate of 90Hz. The device has two RAM and storage models including 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The handset is quite slim with a waistline of 7.7mm. There’s a 48MP quad-camera setup at the rear and a 32MP selfie snapper on the front.
OPPO Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro price and availability
Talking about the pricing, the OPPO Reno 3’s base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at RMB 3,399 (~Rs 35,600). The Reno 3 Pro’s 12GB + 256GB model costs RMB 4,499 (~Rs 45,800). The new Reno phones will go on sale from December 31st. There’s a Classis Blue colour variant of the Reno 3 that costs RMB 4,199 (~Rs 42,750), and it will be available from January 10th in China.
