OPPO Reno 3 Pro gets a price cut in India, now available for Rs 29,990

OPPO launched the global variant of the Reno3 Pro handset in India earlier this year in March. The smartphone was different from the Reno3 and Reno3 Pro 5G smartphones launched in China last year. The global variant has a dual front-camera setup instead of a single cutout like its Chinese counterpart, and is powered by the Helio P95, instead of the Snapdragon 765G.

In India, post the GST hike on April 1st, all smartphone makers had to increase the price of their smartphones. OPPO was no exception, and Reno 3 Pro was one of the smartphones to have received the price hike. However, the company has now reduced the pricing of the handset in the country and it’s now retailing at its original launch price.

The OPPO Reno 3 Pro was launched in two configurations in India – 8GB RAM +128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The price of the former has been dropped by Rs 2,000 and is now retailing at Rs 29,990. Notably, this is the price at which the smartphone launched and was increased to Rs 31,990 in April. The new pricing of the base model is already reflecting in online stores and is also applicable in offline retail stores.

However, the price of the top-end model remains unchanged and it keeps retailing at Rs 32,990 in the country.

OPPO Reno 3 Pro specifications and features

To recall, the Reno 3 Pro ships with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with dual-punch hole design, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner as well for security. Powering the smartphone is MediaTek Helio P95 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage depending on the variant. The handset draws power from a 4,025mAh battery with VOOC 4.0 30W fast-charging.

Coming to optics, the OPPO Reno 3 Pro features a 64MP (F/1.8) primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13MP (F/2.4) telephoto lens with 20x digital zoom and a 2MP mono lens on the back. The smartphone is also the world’s first to feature a dual selfie camera setup with 44MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C.
