December is going to be a very busy month when it comes to the launch of 5G smartphones in China. The month will kick off with Huawei Nova 6, which is set to launch on December 5th. Following the Nova 6, we have the much-awaited Redmi K30, which has recently got confirmed to launch on December 10th. Vivo will also be launching a similar offering called the Vivo X30 in the same month. Apart from these brands, OPPO will also be launching a new 5G phone called the OPPO Reno 3 Pro. The rumour mill hasn’t yet revealed much about the upcoming Reno offering. However, today the Chinese phone maker broke the silence on the features of the device, and has released some intel regarding it. As per a new post by the company on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the upcoming OPPO Reno 3 Pro 5G will be thin, very thin.
OPPO Reno 3 Pro specifications
As seen in the image, the OPPO Reno 3 Pro will be a very slim device. The phone will have a thickness of 7.7mm that will be quite interesting considering the standards of the smartphones that have been launched recently. This, of course, does not include the thickness of the camera bump that is kind of expected. The post further confirms that the OPPO Reno 3 Pro will feature dual-mode 5G. The company has also teased the upcoming Reno offering as the world’s slimmest dual-mode 5G smartphone.
According to the earlier reports, the OPPO Reno 3 and the OPPO Reno 3 Pro will feature a punch-hole display. The official image of the smartphone doesn’t show the top-left corner of the display, so we can expect the hole for the selfie camera will be placed there. The rumoured specifications of the Reno series include a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 735 processor, at least 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, a quad-camera setup on the back, and a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
As of now, this is all we know about the OPPO Reno 3 lineup. However, we are sure that we will receive further information through teasers from the company on the same in the coming days, so stay tuned.
