The OPPO CPH1921 Wi-Fi certification only confirms the smartphone will have support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band and run on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system. As many of you may have heard already, OPPO is set to launch the smartphone in China on April 10. However, going by the smartphone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications, it looks like the OPPO Reno will be sold in several markets outside China as well. It had received a 5G CE certificate by CTC this week, clearing operation over 5G networks in Europe.

As confirmed by the smartphone’s Bluetooth certification recently, OPPO Reno will pack Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset under the hood. However, a variant with the mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset will also be offered. The smartphone will feature a large 6.65-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. If rumors are to be believed, the OPPO Reno will be the first non-Samsung smartphone to come equipped with a Dynamic AMOLED display panel.

For optics, OPPO Reno will have an impressive triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP secondary sensor, and a 13MP tertiary sensor. Rumors suggest it could be OPPO’s first flagship smartphone to utilize the 10x optical zoom technology showcased at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. The smartphone will have a 16MP resolution snapper on the front for selfies, although it remains to be seen if ‘Reno’ will utilize an elevating mechanism similar to the Find X or if it will have a waterdrop notch instead. In terms of software, the first Reno smartphone will ship with Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box.
