[Update: March 4th, 2020] The OPPO Reno 5Z has been spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance website, revealing that it will feature dual-band Wi-Fi support.
[Update: March 1st, 2020] The OPPO Reno 5Z (CPH2211) has been spotted on the website of Bluetooth SIG as well. The listing confirms that the smartphone will come with the latest Bluetooth 5.2.
OPPO had launched the Reno 4z 5G in September last year. The device didn’t debut in Indian markets. Now, its successor has been spotted on multiple certification sites. The OPPO Reno 5z has appeared on Singapore’s IMDA, Norwegia’s NEMKO, and the Global Certification Forum.
All three certification sites of the OPPO Reno 5Z carry the model number CPH2211. The listings reveal some key specifications of the smartphone. To recall, the Reno 4z had the model number CPH2065.
OPPO Reno 5Z (CPH2211) bags multiple certifications, launch expected soon
The OPPO Reno 5Z is listed with model number CPH2211 on IMDA, NEMKO and the GCF. The NEMKO certification reveals that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by a 4,220mAh battery unit which is larger than its predecessor. It will likely support fast charging via a USB-C port.
As per IMDA, the Reno 5Z will offer connectivity options like WCDMA, LTE, 5G, WLAN, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and VoLTE.
The GCF listing doesn’t reveal any key specifications of the smartphone. Apart from this, the certification sites don’t reveal any more details. There’s very little information surrounding the OPPO Reno 5z. However, we can expect it to come with upgrades compared to its predecessor.
The OPPO Reno 4Z 5G debuted with a 120Hz LCD display, Dimensity 800U SoC, 48MP triple rear cameras and 32MP+ 2MP front-facing snappers. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The Reno 4Z 5G costs €369 (~Rs 32,690) for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
