OPPO Reno 7, 7 Pro, 7 SE launched: price, specifications

OPPO Reno 7, Reno 7 Pro, Reno 7 SE have been launched in China. The lineup does not include the Reno 7 Pro+. Hence, it is unclear whether the company has any plans to launch the 7 Pro+ model in future. The Reno 7 and 7 Pro are world’s first phones to feature the Sony IMX709 32-megapixel front camera, which can capture top-notch selfies by intaking more light.

The predecessor Reno 6 Pro featured a curved edge screen, but all the Reno 7 models are fitted with a flat display. The rear camera setup of the Reno 7 trio supports a refreshed design. Apart from sporting an attractive design, Reno 7, 7 Pro, and 7 SE are packed with impressive specs.

The Reno 7 and Reno 7 SE are equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Reno 7 Pro has a larger 6.55-inch AMOLED screen that offers the same resolution and refresh rate along with a higher touch sampling rate of 240Hz. For security, the Reno 7 series of smartphones offer an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro are fitted with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera. The rear-facing triple camera system of the Reno 7 includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the other hand, the Reno 7 Pro’s quad-camera setup is pioneered by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 camera. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Reno 7 SE has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Its back panel has a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. The Reno 7 trio are preinstalled with Android 11 OS, which is overlaid with ColorOS 12.

The Reno 7, 7 Pro, and 7 SE are powered by the Snapdragon 778G, Dimensity 1200-Max, and Dimensity 900 chipsets, respectively. The Reno 7 series ships with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro are powered by a 4,500mAh battery and they carry support for 65W fast charging, whereas the Reno 7 SE has a slighter smaller 4,390mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging.

OPPO Reno 7 series pricing and availability

The Reno 7 comes in three options such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. They are priced at RMB 2,699 (~Rs 31,500), RMB 2,999 (~Rs 35,000), and RMB 3,299 (~Rs 38,500), respectively. The more powerful Reno7 comes in three variants such as 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. They are priced at RMB 3,699 (~Rs 43,150) and RMB 3,999 (~Rs 46,650), respectively. Both models will be available for purchase starting from December 3rd, 2021, in China.

The Reno 7 SE comes in a single version offering 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is priced at RMB 2,199 (~Rs 25,650) and RMB 2,399 (~Rs 28,000), respectively. The Reno 7 series comes in three colours such as black, blue, and gold. The Reno 7 SE is scheduled to go on sale in China starting from December 17th, 2021.

As far as India launch is concerned, the Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro are expected to debut in January. There is no word on whether the Reno 7 SE will be released in India. It is likely that the Enco Free 2i earbuds may also launch alongside the Reno 7 duo in the country.
