OPPO Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro have been launched in India. These models have arrived as successors for the Reno 6 (review) and Reno 6 Pro (review) smartphones that were announced back in July 2021. Like the predecessor Reno series, the Reno 7 duo continues to sport Reno Glow 2.0 design and promise a stellar photography experience.

OPPO had unveiled the Reno 7 series in China in December 2021. While India has received the same Reno 7 Pro 5G that was announced in China, the Reno 7 is a different device as compared to its Chinese counterpart. The Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro are powered by the Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 1200 Max chipset.

OPPO Reno 7 5G series price in India

The Reno 7 and 7 Pro have come in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants, respectively. Both phones come in Stratrails Blue and Starlight Black colours.

OPPO Reno 7 5G series first sale in India

The Reno 7 5G will be available for purchase for the first time starting on February 17th, 2022, whereas the Pro edition will go on sale from February 9th. Both models can be purchased through OPPO India’s website and Flipkart. The Reno 7 series will also be sold through offline stores.

OPPO Reno 7 Pro features a 90Hz display and Dimensity 1200-Max chip

The OPPO Reno 7 5G has a 6.43-inch display, whereas the Reno 7 Pro 5G gets a bigger 6.55-inch screen. Both handsets are fitted with S-AMOLED panels that produce an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both models come preinstalled with Android 11 OS, which is customised with ColorOS 12 UI.

The Reno 7 5G gets a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 front camera, and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.  The OPPO Reno 7 Pro 5G is blessed with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera that can intake more light for brighter selfies in dim-light conditions. Its rear shell has a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The contours of the Pro’s camera setup has LED light, which glows when there is a notification.

The Dimensity 900 powers the Reno 7 5G, whereas the Dimensity 1200-Max fuels the Pro model. The Reno 7 series ship with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The vanilla model features 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, while the Pro model is equipped with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both phones have a 4,500mAh battery. The Reno 7 supports 60W charging, while the Pro variant offers 65W charging. These devices are packed with other features such as dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack (only on Reno 7).
