OPPO reveals details of the Dimensity 1200-Max processor
OPPO says that the Dimensity 1200-Max offers an enhanced display, better imaging capabilities, and clearer videos compared to the Dimensity 1200 on the Reno 6 Pro. The chipset uses a tricluster design with one Cortex A78 clocked at up to 3GHz to form the ultra-core, three Cortex A78 clocked at up to 2.6GHz for the super-cores and four efficiency cores of Cortex A55 clocked at up to 2GHz. The smartphone maker claims that SoC allows for up to 5100Mbps and 700Mbps downlink and uplink speeds.
The SoC is also integrated with AI Deblur technology that is said to sharpen faces in portraits caused due to hand-held shaking via a deblurring algorithm. There is also an AI-PQ feature that enhances colour and contrasts in HDR videos. The OPPO Reno 7 Pro will be equipped with an X-Axis Linear Motor for an immersive gaming experience. It will come with support for 65W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The OPPO Reno 7 series will come with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The smartphones will feature RAM extension technology allowing users to utilise 3/5/7GB from storage space towards RAM for a smooth experience. The upcoming Reno 7 series will ship with ColorOS 12 out of the box. The new software version is said to offer an uncluttered UI, 3D icons, Omoji, and PC connect feature.
