OPPO Reno 7 series is set to launch in China on November 25th at 6 pm local time. The company announced the launch date on the microblogging platform Weibo. The brand has also put up a dedicated microsite for its upcoming offering.
The OPPO Reno 7 series will arrive as the successor to the Reno 6 lineup that debuted earlier this year. The microsite and official poster shared by the brand also reveals the design of two upcoming variants.
OPPO Reno 7 series launch date announced
The OPPO Reno 7 series has a boxy form factor. The right side houses a power button whereas the volume rocker buttons are located on the left side. The back panel features a gradient design and has a rectangular camera module that looks similar to the Realme GT Neo 2 (review). The camera island houses four sensors paired with LED flash although the exact setup remains unclear at the moment.
Apart from this, details about the upcoming OPPO Reno 7 series remain a mystery. The brand is expected to unveil three smartphones in the Reno 7 lineup including a Standard, Pro, and an SE variant. Reports suggest that OPPO will ditch the Pro+ model this time.
The OPPO Reno 7 Pro was spotted on Geekbench last week with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with 8GB RAM. However, past reports also suggest that it may come equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chipset. On the other hand, the standard Reno 7 is rumoured to be powered by Dimensity 1200 while the SE variant is expected to house a Dimensity 920 SoC under the hood.
The OPPO Reno 7 series will reportedly feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED display bearing an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. All three variants are expected to be backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 65W fast charging.
