OPPO released its ColorOS 13 based on the latest Android 13 in August of this year. At the time of launch, it was only limited to some flagship devices like OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro. But now the company is releasing the ColorOS 13 to more devices.
The Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G will be the first device in India to support ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 from November 8, 2022. However, the vanilla OPPO Reno 8 5G and the OPPO K10 5G will get the latest update from November 18, 2022.
How to update the OPPO Reno 8 smartphone?
Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G, Oppo Reno8 5G, and Oppo K10 5G will receive the ColorOS 13 Stable version on the dates mentioned above. If your device is eligible, you will receive an OTA update notification when the update is released.
In order to check for the update manually, go to [Settings] > [Software update] and check for updates. However, make sure your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection. Also, ensure that it has more than 60% of battery left and has more than 5GB of internal storage before installing the update.
ColorOS 13 features
ColorOS 13 includes substantial enhancements for phones with always-on screens and several Material You features. The Aquamorphic Design softens the corners of widgets and the overall user interface, improving iconography and animations.
The new Bitmoji and music player widgets are added to the always-on display. Another significant element is extensive statistics on the use of the always-on display, including how frequently the display was unlocked.
ColorOS 13 also features new security and privacy enhancements, such as blurring contact names in chat screenshots. Customers using other OPPO products, such as the OPPO Pad Air tablet and Windows laptops, can also take advantage of the new multi-screen feature.
