OPPO recently launched its Reno 9 lineup in China. It consists of three smartphones: OPPO Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9 Pro+. The company is gearing to beef up its Reno 8 lineup with the new Reno 8T. Recently the alleged OPPO Reno 8T was spotted on multiple certification websites, including TKDN, EEC, BIS, SIRIM, and Element Materials Technology.
The smartphone was spotted with the CPH2481 model number. According to the listing, the alleged OPPO Reno 8T will be a downgraded smartphone then the rest of the Reno 8 lineup.
The SIRIM and Element Materials Technology listing suggests that the upcoming OPPO Reno 8T will have a 33W charging support instead of the 80W we have seen in the rest of the Reno 8 lineup. As a result, we are expecting downgrades in other specifications as well.
There have been several Reno smartphones with alphabetic names in the past. The majority of them were rebranded variants for specific markets. But the BIS certification Indicates its launch in India. The company has not launched such a smartphone under Reno branding in India for a long time.
Although the Chinese smartphone maker has not revealed any dates for the launch of the upcoming Reno 8T smartphone, we are expecting it to arrive in early 2023.
