OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition to Launch in India on May 28th

OPPO has confirmed that it will be announcing the OPPO Reno series of smartphones on May 28th in India. The launch poster can be seen on the cover image of the Twitter and Facebook accounts of OPPO India. It is speculated that the Chinese firm will be announcing the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition flagship phone along with the OPPO Reno standard edition smartphone.

The specifications of both smartphones are known since they were made official in China on April 10. At present, there is no information on the pricing of these phones for the Indian market.

The OPPO Reno has a full screen AMOLED display that features full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. It is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 6. The screen is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The Snapdragon 710 SoC fuels the phone with up to 8GB of RAM. It comes with up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie OS is loaded on the device. It lacks support for a microSD card.

The smartphone features a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera on its back. There is a shark-fin shaped pop-up camera module that includes a 16-megapixel selfie snapper. The phone includes a 3,765mAh battery. It is equipped with 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge support.

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition has a larger full screen AMOLED display measuring 6.6 inches that offers 1,080 x 2,340 pixels full HD+ resolution. It also features in-display fingerprint sensor and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The Snapdragon 855 and up to 8GB of RAM powers the smartphone. It has a maximum inbuilt storage of 256GB and carries support for additional storage through a hybrid SIM slot.

The Reno 10x Zoom Edition has 48-megagixel + 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel triple camera setup. The inclusion of a periscope lens allows the smartphone to support 10x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. It also features a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in a shark-fin shaped pop-up module. It is backed by a 4,065mAh that is equipped with 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology.
