OPPO has expanded its offerings in China with the OPPO Reno Z. The OPPO Reno Z was announced earlier this month, after the launch of the OPPO Reno and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition. The European variant of the OPPO Reno Z comes powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC while the Chinese variant is powered by MediaTek Helio P90.
OPPO Reno Z Features and Specifications
The Reno Z comes equipped with a 6.4-inch display that offers FHD+ resolution and a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood lies a 12nm Helio P90 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers a choice between 128GB and 256GB storage. That being said, OPPO has skipped on the microSD card slot.
The OPPO Reno Z is heavily inspired by the other devices in the Reno series, especially the rear. The front facade comes with a waterdrop notch display and houses the front-facing camera. Additionally, OPPO has added a 0-Dot ceramic point in order to protect the lens from damage. It is also worth noting that the rear is wrapped up in a 3D curved glass.
As far as the camera department is concerned, the OPPO Reno Z baked in a dual rear camera unit. This setup consists of 48-Megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the secondary/front facing camera shapes up in the form of a 16-Megapixel unit. The OPPO Reno Z runs on ColorOS 6.0 which is based on the Android 9.0 Pie.
OPPO Reno Z China Pricing
Other novelties include an in-display fingerprint sensor, VOOC 3.0 flash charge support (20W) and a 4,035mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the OPPO Reno Z comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. OPPO Reno Z is available in two variants, the 6GB/256GB and the 8GB/128GB variant. Prices in China start at 2,499 Yuan (~Rs 24,988). It remains to be seen which variant of the Reno Z will be launched in India.
