Exclusive: OPPO Reno3 A specifications revealed; Snapdragon 665, 48MP quad cameras and more

OPPO has been on a launch spree lately. The company launched the OPPO Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite in Europe just yesterday. Alongside, the brand released the OPPO A52 in its home country of China. The OPPO A52 is a mid-range Snapdragon 665-powered smartphone from the brand, and is expected to be joined shortly by the OPPO A72, which features nearly identical specs. We have now obtained information via reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal that OPPO is working on yet another Snapdragon 665 phone, but this time in the Reno series. The device in question is the OPPO Reno3 A.

OPPO Reno3 A specifications and features

The Reno3 A is powered by the Snapdragon 665, just like the OPPO A52 (pictured above)

As per our source, the Reno3 A features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution. It is powered by the Snapdragon 665 processor, which is clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device features a quad camera setup at the rear, including a 48MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, f/2.25 8MP camera, and two f/2.4 2MP cameras. While this isn’t confirmed, we can expect the 8MP camera to be a wide-angle one, and the two 2MP cameras to be macro and depth sensors. In the front, the phone features a 16MP selfie camera.

The Reno3 A is fuelled by a 4,025mAh battery, but fast charging support isn’t confirmed yet. It runs ColorOS 7.1, presumably atop Android 10. As for the dimensions, it measures 161 x 74 x 8.2mm and weighs 175g. These are all the specs we can confirm for the OPPO Reno3 A at the moment. Pricing and availability are still unknown.

As for the recently announced OPPO A52, the phone features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole cutout. The Snapdragon 665 processor is clubbed with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There’s a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The rear cameras consist of a 12MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP setup, while the selfie shooter is an 8MP unit. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10, and a USB Type-C port. It is priced at RMB 1,599 (~Rs 17,300).
