A new OPPO smartphone with model number CPH2159 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Recent reports have revealed that it is the 4G version of the Reno5. The Geekbench appearance of the phone has revealed the key specs of the phone.
OPPO Reno5 4G spotted at Geekbench
The CPH259 OPPO smartphone has been previously spotted at certification platforms like Europe’s Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Thailand’s NBTC authority, and Indonesia’s TKDN. The CPH2159 phone was also spotted at Pakistan’s import database. It was found through the NBTC listing that the OPPO CPH2159 is a 4G phone and its moniker is Reno5.
The Geekbench listing of the CPH2159 that surfaced today revealed that it is powered by a Qualcomm chipset that is mentioned as “atoll” in the motherboard. Past reports have revealed that the “atoll” codename is associated with the Snapdragon 720G chipset. The listing further revealed that the Reno5 4G has 8GB of RAM and it is preinstalled with the latest Android 11 OS. The Geekbench appearance suggests that the company could be internally testing the performance of the device before making it official. Probably, the 4G Reno5 will break cover net month.
OPPO Reno5 Pro global edition may feature Snapdragon 765G
The Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G smartphones that went official in China are powered by the Snapdragon 765G and Dimensity 1000+ chipsets, respectively. At November end, a Vietnamese tipster revealed a few key pieces of information about the global versions of the Reno5 series.
The tipster claimed that the Reno5 will be arriving in 4G and 5G editions in the global markets. He had also claimed that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 720G chipset and 1st generation SuperVOOC 50W fast charging technology. The Reno5 5G with Snapdragon 765G onboard is likely to arrive with 2nd generation SuperVOOC 65W rapid charging tech.
On the other side, the Reno5 Pro will be available in the 5G version only in the global markets. The tipster mentioned that the Pro model will not feature the Dimensity 1000+ chipset in the global markets. Instead, it may arrive with Snapdragon 765G. OPPO will be launching the Snapdragon 865 powered Reno5 Pro+ 5G phone on December 24th in China. This phone is unlikely to release outside the home market of OPPO.
