Today, OPPO announced the OPPO Reno5 series of smartphones in Kenya. The two devices that were unveiled today are OPPO Reno5 and Reno5 F. While the latter is a new device, the former is a known handset that has already launched in select markets.
Like the other Reno branded phones, the Reno5 F sports a slim and sleek design. Some of its key features include a punch-hole AMOLED display, 48-megapixel quad cameras, and fast charging support. The handset has arrived as the successor to last year’s OPPO Reno4 F smartphone.
OPPO Reno5 F specifications and features
The OPPO Reno5 F has a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen that has a punch-hole positioned at the top-left corner. The screen supports a Full HD+ resolution and it has a 32-megapixel camera for capturing selfies.
The rear shell of the Reno5 F has a large camera array that includes a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear cameras support features like AI color portrait video and dual-video video. The handset runs ColorOS 11 based on Android 11.
OPPO did not confirm the name of the processor that fuels the Reno5 F. It comes in a single version that features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The Reno5F is backed by a 4,310mAh battery that supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology. The handset comes with other features such as an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
OPPO Reno5 F pricing and availability
The OPPO Reno5 F is priced at KSH 31,999 and it is now for pre-orders in Kenya from today. The sales of the device are slated to begin on March 22nd.
