OPPO Reno6 5G India variant will be powered by Dimensity 900 SoC

OPPO Reno6 5G India variant will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. This will make it the first device to come with the said processor in the country. The smartphone had debuted in China in May this year and it also has the same chipset so we can expect the India variant to come with similar specifications.

The OPPO Reno6 series is set to launch on July 14th in India and it will be available for purchase from Flipkart. Additionally, OPPO will also announce the Enco X in a Blue colour variant at the Reno6 series launch event.

OPPO Reno6 5G

The OPPO Reno6 5G will be India’s first Dimensity 900 powered smartphone. The SoC is built on a 6nm architecture with support for Wi-Fi 6, dual-SIM 5G,FHD+ 120Hz displays and up to 108MP main camera. It features a Cortex A78 CPU clocked at 2.4GHz and ARM Mali-G68  MC4 GPU onboard. The Dimensity 900 also supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. 

MediaTek India MD, Anku Jain said in a statement, “The OPPO Reno6 5G powered by the advanced features of the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor is a step forward in this direction and is designed to deliver a seamless and unparalleled 5G smartphone experience.”

OPPO Reno6 5G specifications and features

The OPPO Reno6 5G comes with a 6.43-inch punch-hole FHD+ AMOLED display equipped with a fingerprint scanner and 90Hz refresh rate. On the back, the smartphone features a triple camera setup of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit and a 2MP macro lens. The device has a 32MP selfie snapper. 

The Reno6 5G is powered by Dimensity 900 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It is backed by a 4,300mAh battery unit with support for 65W VOOC fast charging. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box.
