OPPO Reno6 series is confirmed to launch in China on May 27th at 6pm local time (3:30pm IST). The company announced the news today on the microblogging platform Weibo. The Reno6 series will arrive as the successor to last year’s Reno5 series.
The upcoming Reno6 lineup is expected to consist of standard, Pro and Pro+ variants just like its predecessor. The three devices have passed 3C and TENAA certification in China. A fourth device called the Reno6 Z 5G has also been spotted certification websites, but this is expected to be announced at a later date.
OPPO Reno6 specifications and features (expected)
The OPPO Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+ are listed on 3C and TENAA with model numbers PEQM00, PEM00, and PENM00 respectively. All three variants are expected to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display bearing an FHD+ resolution, punch-hole camera and a 90Hz refresh rate. As per the TENAA listing, the Reno6 Pro and Pro+ have curved edges.
Under the hood, the Reno6 could be powered by the recently unveiled Dimensity 900 SoC. The Pro and Pro+ variants will reportedly be equipped with a Dimensity 1200 and Snapdragon 870 processors. All three smartphones are expected to pack up to 12GB RAM and offer 256GB internal storage. The Reno6 lineup is tipped to be backed by a 4,500mAh with support for 65W fast charging.
Lastly, on the imaging front, the Reno6 series is expected to come with 64MP quad-rear cameras and 32MP front-facing snapper.
