OPPO’s new fast charging tech can charge a 4,000mAh battery in just 30 minutes

Chinese phone maker OPPO has introduced its new SuperVOOC 2.0 technology at an event in its home market. The brand’s new fast charging tech solution supports 65W power input, which allows a 4,000mAh battery to be fully charged in just under 30 minutes. The company’s upcoming OPPO Reno Ace smartphone that’s due in October will be the first to utilise the new fast charging tech. In addition to the new SuperVOOC tech, OPPO has also introduced its 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge and VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging technologies.

OPPO has introduced three new fast charging solutions

OPPO SuperVOOC 2.0 charging tech

Talking about the new SuperVOOC tech first, the 65W power input allows a 4,000mAh battery to go from one percent to 100 percent in just 27 minutes. Notably, the same solution can charge the same power cell up to 27 percent in a mere five minutes. This tech also boasts five safety protection protocols throughout the adapter, cable, and headset to provide maximum safety during charging. This solution is backwards compatible with SuperVOOC and VOOC Flash Charge technologies.

OPPO 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge tech

Moving on to the brand’s 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge tech, it is touted to be one of the fastest wireless charging solutions on the market. The solution can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in 80 minutes. The company says that this technology utilises real-time adjustments of the charging process, apart from efficient components to provide a safer charging solution while keeping the heat down. Since the tech is of the Qi standard, it can provide 5W / 10W of power input to your non-VOOC Flash Charge supported smartphone.

OPPO VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 tech

Apart from the aforementioned solutions, OPPO has also upgraded the VOOC Flash Charge technology to its version 4.0, which is 12 percent faster than its predecessors. The new tech can provide a 4,000mAh battery 67 percent of juice in 30 minutes and 100 percent in 73 minutes. This solution utilises an optimised VFC algorithm to reduce the charging time required to juice up to final 10 percent of the battery capacity. The brand has also mentioned that it has reduced the internal resistance of the whole charging system and suppress heat by utilising efficient adapter and enhanced battery cell design. This technology will debut with the OPPO K5, which will be launched in the near future.

OPPO has also mentioned that it will continue to optimise the three VOOC fast charging technologies in response to what its users demand.
