OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, Realme may launch 100W+ fast charging phones in early 2022

OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, and Realme may launch new smartphones with 100W+ rapid charging technology in India, claims reliable tipster Mukul Sharma. Smartphones with 100W+ charging tech are available in China since last year. It now appears that India could see new smartphones with blazing fast charging technology in the beginning of 2022.

Among the above-mentioned brands, OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme are selling several phones with 65W fast charging technology in India. Vivo‘s recent flagship, the X70 Pro+ (review) supports 55W fast charging. Xiaomi too is expected to launch its 100W+ charging supported in India soon. It is speculated that the upcoming Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will support 120W fast charging.

According to the tipster, OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, and Realme are going to launch smartphones with 100W+ rapid charging technology in the Indian market by early 2022. He added that the new SuperVOOC technology by OPPO is also going to make its way into the country soon. Since OPPO already offers 65W fast charging support on some of its phones in India, its next charging tech for the country could be a 120W or 125W solution.

Among these brands, OnePlus and OPPO are yet to launch 100W+ phones in China. A Chinese tipster (via) had recently claimed that phones such as the OnePlus 10 Pro, OPPO Find X4, Find X4 Pro, OPPO’s new N-series phone, and Reno 8 Po are going to arrive with 125W fast charging technology in China next year. The OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to launch in January or February in China and is likely to release in global markets including India by March or April. The Find X4 series is also expected to debut in the home market by Q1 2022.

Vivo is reportedly working on two new flagship phones such as Vivo X80 Pro+ and Vivo NEX 5. These phones may carry support for 125W fast charging. A recent report claimed that the X80 Pro and X80 Pro+ may debut in late January or early February in India. Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO announced the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro with 120W fast charging technology in August. These phones are also expected to release in India soon. However, it is unclear whether the Indian variants will support 120W fast charging or 66W fast charging, which was made available on the iQOO 7 Legend.

Realme is reportedly gearing to launch the Snapdragon 888 Plus powered Realme GT 2 Pro in January 2022 in China. This device is expected to arrive with 125W fast charging support. However, it is unclear when this device will be landing in India.

Xiaomi’s 120W fast charging phone may debut soon

A recent leak claimed that Xiaomi may soon launch Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge smartphones in India. The 11i duo is likely to launch later this month or in December in the country. These are said to be rebadged versions of the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ that were made official in China in October. The Pro+ model has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. The company claims that it can fully charge in just 15 minutes. The ‘HyperCharge’ moniker suggests that the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge that 120W fast charging could be its major highlight.

Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro flagship phones in September 2022 in global markets. Both phones or at least the Pro model, which supports 120W fast charging is expected to launch before the end of this year in India.
