- OPPO has announced the launch date of its second smartwatch in China

OPPO Watch 2 will launch in China on July 27th at 3pm local time (12.30pm IST). The company announced the news on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The launch poster doesn’t reveal any key details of the upcoming smartwatch, however, it has also been listed on e-commerce retailer JD.com.
The OPPO Watch 2 will debut as the successor to last year’s OPPO Watch. The upcoming offering is expected to retain the same design as the original model and arrive in two variants of 42mm and 46mm.
OPPO Watch 2 specifications and features (expected)
As per the JD.com listing, the OPPO Watch 2 will come with a square dial and rounded corners. There are two buttons on the right side of the device. Like its predecessor, the upcoming offering also looks similar to the Apple Watch. The smartwatch will be offered in three strap colours i.e. Black, Gray and Orange.
The OPPO Watch 2 will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 4100 processor and an Apollo 4s secondary chip. It is said to reduce the power consumption of the watch. The smartwatch is expected to pack double the internal storage capacity of 16GB compared to 8GB on its predecessor.
The OPPO Watch 2 will also come with various health-centric features like a heart rate sensor, stress tracker, and more. It is also tipped to be equipped with an ECG sensor. The smartwatch is also expected to pack features like a camera assistant and gaming mode.
Other information like screen size, IP rating, battery life, etc of the OPPO Watch 2 is currently under the wraps. We will know more details at the launch event.
