In May, OPPO unveiled three devices: the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+ in China. These devices are equipped with Dimensity 1300, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and Dimensity 8100-Max, respectively. However, only two of these devices will make it to India. The first one is the vanilla model, and the second one is the Reno 8 Pro, which will arrive as a rebranded version of China’s Reno 8 Pro+. The rebranding became evident when the Reno 8 trio appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification site in June.

OPPO’s website mentions that the Reno 8 series buyers will get benefits like a one-time screen replacement (only for the Pro model), a 10 percent discount of up to Rs 4,000, an extra discount of up to Rs 3,000 on exchanging an OPPO device, and 80 percent off for getting OPPO Care+ service.

The Reno 8 will arrive with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, while the Reno 8 Pro will sport a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. Both phones will offer Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Reno 8 series will support for up to 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Reno 8 has a punch-hole placed at the top-left corner, while the Pro model has it in the top-centre position. The rear shell of the vanilla model seems to be made up of polycarbonate material, while the Pro edition may feature a glass back. OPPO has confirmed that the thickness of the Reno 8 Pro is only 7.34mm.

Leaks have revealed that the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro will be equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Both devices will probably come equipped with a Sony IMX709 camera sensor.

The Reno 8 5G will feature a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The Pro model will be equipped with the same camera specs. However, the Reno 8 Pro is expected to feature the Sony IMX766 primary camera, which may not be available on the vanilla model. One of the major attractions of the Reno 8 Pro is that it will come equipped with the 6nm MariSilicon X imaging NPU. The chip offers an enhanced photography experience for creating bokeh flare portrait videos and shooting night videos in 4K Ultra HDR quality.

Both devices will also house a 4,500mAh battery, which will carry support for 80W charging. According to OPPO, the Reno 8 series can go from 0 to 50 percent in just 11 minutes when charged using an 80W SuperVOOC charger. The Reno 8 duo will come with the Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12.1 on top.

The Enco X2 TWS earbuds will come with an 11mm audio driver, up to 45 dB of active noise cancellation (ANC), up to 27 hours battery life, and an IP54 rating. It carries support for Bluetooth 5.2 with the LHDC 4.0 transition protocol. It will take the place of the first Enco X TWS earbuds, which came out in January 2021 and cost Rs 9,990.
