Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 with 5.5-inch Display and Big Battery Launched for Rs. 8,489

Panasonic has introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone called Eluga Ray 800 in India. The smartphone is packed with decent specs and it comes with the company’s ARBO Hub AI aggregator app. It has landed in India with an exciting price tag of Rs. 8,489.

The metal-bodied Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 comes with a 5.5-inch LCD display that supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The display is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3.

The Spreadtrum SC9853I chipset with 1.8 GHz octa-core processor drives the Eluga Ray 800 phone with 4 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 64 GB and there is a microSD card slot for more storage. The older Android 7.0 Nougat OS comes loaded on the device. It comes with a 4,000mAh battery that can easily last for a day by charging it once. There is no fast charging support on the Eluga Ray 800.

The back panel of the Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 has a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash. There is a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel on the device.

The ARBO Hub AI aggregator app functions like a super app that can be used for reading news, paying bills, booking a cab and so on without downloading separate apps. The handset is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on its rear for security. The handset carries support for connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB 2.0, USB OTG, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone measures 152.8 x 75.3 x 8.6mm and weighs 162 grams.
