Panasonic P90 Launched At An Affordable Price

Japan based electronics company Panasonic is known for launching affordable phones packed with various good features. The company has now added a budget smartphone to its P-series lineup dubbed as the P90. It is an entry level phone that justifies its price tag of Rs.5,599. Let’s find out what this phone offers out of the box:

The Panasonic P90 features a 5-inch HD display bearing a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The display is also equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass support on top to ensure protection against accidental damage and minor scratches. The display also has a curvature along its edges, thanks to 2.5D curved glass which enhances user experience. The Panasonic brand name is located on the top of the display as well as the back of phone. There are three capacitive buttons below the display for navigation. A minor setback is that the device lacks a fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. The P90 ships in Blue, Gold and Black color variants.

The latest offering from Panasonic is powered by a 1.25GHz MediaTek MTK6737 quad-core processor. It is coupled with 1GB RAM which is slightly on the lower side. The hardware ensures smooth performance on normal usage like web surfing and entertainment. For storing data, the device offers 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card support.

On the camera front, the Panasonic P90 comes with a 5MP rear shooter paired with an LED flash. For selfies and video calling purposes, there is a 5MP front snapper as well accompanied by LED flash.

The Panasonic P90 draws its power from a 2400 mAh battery. The battery is certainly small considering the standards set by other smartphones in the market but should still last you through the day with nominal use. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. There is no official word by the company if this smartphone will receive Android Oreo. The P90 is a dual SIM smartphone and supports micro SIM cards. On the connectivity front, the device offers all the basic options like 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS & FM Radio.

The Panasonic P90 will be available and sold across most retail outlets from today. The P90 offers entry level-specs that seem to be targeted at first-time users. The phone will go head-on against smartphones from Xiaomi and Comio.
