Panasonic just expanded its rugged Toughpad line with the latest 10.1-inch Toughpad FZ-A2 in the U.S. market. The latest 10.1-inch Android tablet is priced at $2,189, which roughly converts at Rs 1,49,385 in Indian currency. It is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and 810G military standard for maximum durability. To recall, the tablet was first unveiled for European markets last year 939 pounds.
Moving on, Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 features a widescreen Full HD display with 800 nits brightness and up to 10-point multitouch. Powering the tablet internally is a 2.44 GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor, 4GB RAM, and Intel HD graphics 400. It comes with 32GB onboard storage which can be expanded further with the help of a microSD card support.
Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 packs in an 8MP rear snapper paired with LED flash. Up front is a 2MP secondary camera for selfies. The tablet comes with IP65 certification for dust and water resistance. It is backed by a 2,720mAh battery which is hot-swappable and claimed to offer 9 hours of backup on average use. The tablet weighs 880 grams and measures 16.4 mm for thickness.
Completing the overall offerings are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. It is not known if and when the product will make it outside the U.S. and European market.
