Pioneer launches detachable car tablet for Rs 33,890

Japanese brand Pioneer has launched a new car entertainment product in the form of a multi-purpose detachable tablet. The SDA835-TAB works as a tablet while the SPH-T20BT is an audio receiver. The Smart Unit Receiver is a device that can be used to upgrade an older car. Pioneer says that its systems stand out mainly due to their superior audio quality and the tablet is a testament to that. 

Pioneer Smart Unit Receiver specifications and features

The tablet features an 8-inch touch-screen display bearing a 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution. It is a detachable tablet that can be used outside of the car as well. The device is equipped with an ARM Cortex-A7 processor and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery unit. It runs Android 9 Pie and ships with pre-installed apps like Google Maps, YouTube, Gmail, Pioneer’s Smart Sync app and more. Users can also download apps and games from the Google Play Store. The device packs 16GB internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. Users can also pair their smartphones to the tablet via Bluetooth connectivity to use it like a regular car infotainment unit. 

Coming to the audio receiver, it offers a 2-DIN receiver with tablet mount cradle, MOSFET 50Wx4 amplifier, 3 RCA pre-out and rear camera input. The audio receiver uses Pioneer car audio technology allowing users to play compressed audio with the Advanced Sound Retriever. There is also an option to fine-tune the sound with 13 Band Equalizer and other tuning features.
