POCO India is likely to launch a new smartphone at 12pm on September 30th. The tweet released by the brand suggests that it could be announcing a C-series handset on the said date. Unfortunately, the tweet has no information on the name or features of the device.

POCO announced the POCO C3 as its first C-series phone back in October last year. The company could be gearing up to launch a successor for C3. Unfortunately, the rumour mill is yet to leak any details of an upcoming C-series phone from POCO.

There is a possibility that the next C-series phone could be an updated version of the POCO C3. To recollect, the C3 debut as an entry-level smartphone which lacked a fingerprint scanner. It was a rebranded version of the Redmi 9C smartphone that debuted in the global market.
The updated version of the POCO C3 could also be a rebranded version of one of the Redmi 9 series smartphones. It is advisable to wait for further reports to see whether the company announces a new variant of the POCO C3 or an entirely new phone called the POCO C4 or POCO C5.
POCO C3 specifications and features
The POCO C3 has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. It has a 5MP front camera and a 13-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit on the back.
The Helio G35 chipset powers the POCO C3. It offers 3GB / 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage. It comes with 10W charging for its 5,000mAh battery. The other features that are available on the device include MIUI 12 based on Android 10 and face unlock.
