POCO recently launched the POCO M2 Pro smartphone in India. It is the second POCO phone after the POCO X2 that launched earlier this year. Fresh information reveals that the next smartphone from the brand could be called POCO C3 and it could be arriving as a rebranded version of the Redmi 9C.
The POCO C3 name has appeared in the database of the Bluetooth SIG regulatory body today. The model number of the device is mentioned as M2006C3MI. Earlier this month, the same phone was certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which indicates that it could be arriving in the Indian markets in the near future.
Redmi 9C could launch as POCO C3 in India
The model number of the POCO C3 is similar to the M2006C3MG model number that belongs to the global version of the Redmi 9C. Hence, it appears that the Redmi 9C phone could be rebranded in India as the POCO C3. Since the device has received Bluetooth approval, it may go official as early as August.
Redmi 9C specifications and features
The rumour mill is yet to reveal any information on the specifications of the POCO C3. If it is a rebadged phone, it could be packed with the same specs that are available on the Redmi 9C.
The Redmi 9C has a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. The MediaTek Helio G35 SoC powered phone has 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage. It is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery. The Redmi 9C’s rear-facing camera housing has a 13-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It has a selfie camera of 5-megapixels. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
