POCO C55 India launch has been confirmed. At the beginning of last month, POCO unveiled the POCO C50 in India with a price tag of Rs 6,249. The C55, which is set to debut at 12 pm tomorrow (February 21st), will be a more powerful device than the C50.

Sibling brand Redmi is gearing up to launch the Redmi 12C in the global market. In India, the Redmi 12C is expected to be rebranded as the POCO C55. However, being a POCO device, the C55 is likely to arrive to sport a different rear design. Here is a look at what to expect from the C55.

In the above tweet, the POCO C55 can be seen sporting a dual-tone design. The camera block, which houses a dual-camera setup and POCO branding, is black in colour, whereas the rest of the rear shell is green. The C55 is also expected to arrive in other colours like black and blue.

The POCO C55 is likely to arrive with a 6.71-inch IPS LCD teardrop notch display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it will feature the Helio G85 chipset, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage. It will run on the Android 13 OS with the MIUI 13 skin on top. For additional storage, it will have a microSD card slot.

The back panel of the device will feature a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup. On the front, it will be fitted with a 5-megapixel camera. The handset will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. It is expected to come with a microUSB port and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

POCO C55 price in India (rumoured)

The aforementioned specifications show that it will be positioned higher than the POCO C50 in the Indian market. In all likelihood, the device will cost less than Rs 10,000 in the country. Like other POCO phones, it will be sold exclusively through Flipkart.
