Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Mix Alpha and the Mi 9 Pro 5G at an event in China on Tuesday. The Chinese tech giant also announced the latest MIUI 11 OS along with a list of smartphones that are scheduled to get the update within the next few months in China. The list excluded the Poco F1, which caused much uproar among the users. However, Alvin Tse, the Head of Pocophone Global, took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm that the device is lined up for the MIUI 11 upgrade. The new skin boasts features such as dynamic sound effects mimicking ambient sounds from nature, dynamic font scaling, an upgraded Kids mode, preloaded apps like Mi Go and Mi Work, and a customizable lock screen.
POCO Fans, please don’t worry. We will get MIUI 11 when it rolls out globally. #POCOF1

According to Tse’s Tweet, the list included smartphones that are sold in China, and not its global portfolio. Since Xiaomi does not sell the Poco F1 in the Chinese market, the device was missing from the list. He further mentioned that the stable version of the MIUI 11 will begin rolling out in China from mid-October, with the global rollout to happen shortly thereafter. While the closed Beta version of MIUI 11 is already available via WeChat, the open Beta version will be available from September 27th. Xiaomi plans to roll out the MIUI 11 upgrade in three phases between mid-October and early-November.
The list of smartphones to get the MIUI 11 upgrade by mid-October include the Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Explorer, Mi Max 3, Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 Youth Edition, Mi 8 In-Display Fingerprint Edition, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Mix 3, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
