Xiaomi announced the POCO F1 as the first POCO-branded phone in 2018. It arrived as the cheapest Snapdragon 845 powered flagship phone of the year. While the company took a sabbatical in 2019, it came back as an independent brand in 2020 and announced a wide range of phones across various price points. It even announced the POCO F2 Pro globally. Now that the company has finally released the first POCO F2 teaser, its arrival could be close at hand.

POCO F2 specifications and features (expected)

Early leaks suggested that the POCO F2 will be a true successor to the POCO F1 with flagships specs and a disruptive price tag. However, a new leak that appeared on Xiaomi Telegram, an unofficial Telegram account revealed that it could be packed with mid-range specs. The leak revealed that the POCO F2 is codenamed as “Courbet” and its model number is K9A.

As per the new leak, the POCO F2 could be sporting a 120Hz AMOLED display. The rear shell of the phone may have a quad camera setup featuring a wide-angle main lens, an ultra-wide shooter, a macro lens, and a depth sensor. However, the exact megapixel count of each camera is not known yet.

The POCO F2 could be driven by a 4,250mAh battery with reverse charging. It will come with NFC support in global markets. The Snapdragon 732G could be fueling the POCO F2. The only other phone that features the SD732G is the POCO X3 that went official last year.

In related news, the POCO M3 is the other phone that is expected to debut soon in India. It went official in December in global markets. Later, it was spotted at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which indicated that its launch may not be far away.
