POCO F2 and F2 Pro cases appear on Spigen’s website; suggest a design similar to Redmi K20 series

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO’s second smartphone, the POCO F2 has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports since last year. There were reports that the company had discontinued the newly developed brand as a few key executives left. However, it seems that POCO is still in the market, and the company is developing its second smartphone, the POCO F2. While the brand hasn’t announced anything officially yet, the popular phone case maker Spigen has suggested towards the existence of not one but two new POCO smartphones – the POCO F2 and POCO F2 Pro.

Spigen cases suggest that the POCO F2 could be a rebranded Redmi K20 Pro

Spigen recently listed two cases for the POCO F2 called the “POCOPHONE F2 Rugged Armour Case” and “POCOPHONE F2 Pro Liquid Case“. Unlike the previous leaks which suggested that the POCO F2 or Pro will have a waterdrop notch, the Spigen cases indicate a full-screen design for the devices, thanks to the pop-up selfie camera. The design of the handsets seen in these images is exactly the same as the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. The phones in these cases have a triple rear camera setup at the rear. Even the wallpaper of the alleged POCO F2 series is similar to the Redmi K20 or K20 Pro. The case listings didn’t reveal anything about the specifications of these handsets.

In Spigen cases, the POCO F2 looks exactly like the Redmi K20 series

For the uninitiated, Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO introduced its first handset called the POCO F1 in India last year. The phone maker’s first offering took on the smartphone market by storm as it offered flagship-grade features like the Snapdragon 845 chipset at pocket-friendly prices. Ever since, the POCO users are eagerly waiting for the brand to release the successor to the POCO F1. The next-gen POCO offering is expected to offer the more-powerful Snapdragon 855 processor, multiple rear cameras, and more.

It’s worth mentioning that at the time of writing this news, Spigen has removed the POCO F2 and F2 Pro case products from its website. So, there’s a possibility that the POCO F2 will have a different design than the Redmi K20 series, and it could be an error by the case maker. Only time will tell.
