- POCO F3 could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40
- Key details of the POCO X3 Pro have also emerged
The POCO F3 will reportedly be announced as early as this month, claims reliable tipster Mukul Sharma. The launch event could also see the arrival of another smartphone called the POCO X3 Pro. Multiple certifications have revealed that the Redmi K40 that went official in China last month could be a rebadged POCO F3 in global markets including India. Sharma’s tweet also backs this claim. In addition, he also shared key specifications of the POCO X3 Pro handset.
POCO F3 could be a rebranded Redmi K40
As per Sharma, POCO may hold a global launch event this month to announce the POCO F3. It is unclear whether the company will be holding a separate launch event for Indian audiences. The tipster claimed that the POCO F3 will be a rebranded version of China’s Redmi K40 smartphone. Hence, it is expected to arrive with a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ punch-hole panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may feature the Snapdragon 870 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
It could be featuring a 20-megapixel front camera. Its rear camera setup may include a 48-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 5-megapixel telephoto macro camera. It could be driven by a 4,520mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It may come with other features like 5G and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
POCO X3 Pro key specifications
The upcoming POCO X3 Pro was recently approved by certification platforms like FCC (US), SIRIM (Malaysia), BIS (India), NBTC (Thailand), and Indonesia Telecom. Hence, it appeared that the company may announce it soon. Fresh information reveals that the X3 Pro will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display, a battery of around 5,200mAh capacity, and a new chipset named the Snapdragon 860.
As the name suggests, the POCO X3 Pro is an advanced version of last year’s POCO X3 (review) handset that featured the Snapdragon 732G. A tipster who had accurately leaked the launch date of the POCO X3 had recently claimed that POCO may announce it by the second week of this month.
