- POCO F4 GT India launch timeframe has been officially confirmed
- It will be arriving as the successor for POCO F3 GT from last year
- POCO will also launch new X-series and C-lineup phones soon
POCO F4 GT launch timeframe for India has been officially revealed by POCO India Country Director in an interview with India Today Tech. Anuj Sharma also confirmed that the company will be refreshing its new X-series and C-lineup smartphones in India in the coming months.
POCO launched the POCO M4 Pro 5G earlier this week. Reports have revealed that phones like POCO C4, POCO X4 5G, POCO X4 Pro 5G, and POCO F4 GT have bagged multiple certifications in different countries, which indicates that these devices could be launching soon. The POCO F3 FT from last year was a rebranded version of China’s Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. Hence, it is likely that the POCO F4 GT could be a rebadged edition of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition heading to China.
POCO F4 GT India launch timeframe, pricing hint
Here is what Sharma said to the publication regarding the upcoming POCO phones, “We will refresh the entire portfolio. It is a good time to kind of get a completely new, revamped fourth-generation portfolio for Poco.”
He also revealed that the POCO F3 GT’s successor, which is likely to be called the POCO F4 GT, will launch in the first half of 2022. It will carry a sub-Rs 50,000 pricing. To recollect, the POCO F3 GT (review) was introduced with a pricing of Rs 26,999.
When he was asked whether the company will be launching a flagship smartphone, he replied, “I hope everyone likes that phone, but from that price-band (above Rs 50,000) definition, I do not think we will go there yet.”
Hence, it appears that the POCO F4 GT may rival affordable flagships such as Xiaomi 11T Pro, OnePlus 9RT, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, and the upcoming iQOO 9 SE.
Sharma further said that POCO will concentrate on expanding its existing C-series, M-series, X-series, and F-series this year. He mentioned in an interview with Gadgets 360 that the new X-series and C-series will launch in the next four months in India. While 5G networks will not commercialise until the end of 2022, POCO will focus on 5G-ready phones this year.
Last year, the company had confirmed that it will be introducing the POCO Pop Buds TWS earbuds. However, it is yet to officially announce it. Sharma said that one of its key priorities this year is to launch other devices apart from smartphones. He said that the TWS earbuds “were still on the cards”, but he did not share further details.

For enhanced gaming experience, it will feature x-axis linear motor, pop-up mechanical gaming shoulder buttons, and dual speakers.
Reports have suggested that the POCO X4 5G will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G’s global edition. Redmi is expected to launch the Redmi 10C entry-level phone in the coming months. This device is likely to be rebadged as the POCO C4 in India. In addition, the Redmi K50 Pro+ heading to China may launch in global markets as the POCO F4 Pro (or Pro+).
