POCO F5 5G India launch date has been tipped by 91mobiles. According to the publication, it has been learned through industry sources that the POCO F5 will be unveiled on April 6th, 2023.

POCO seems to be on a roll in India since the brand has already launched a couple of smartphones, such as the POCO C50, POCO C55, POCO X5 5G, and POCO X5 Pro 5G, in the Indian market. Now, it appears that the company may launch the POCO F5 series of smartphones within the first half of this year. If reports are to be believed, the F5 may end up as a renamed version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is expected to launch as the world’s first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 phone by the end of March in China.

The POCO F5 is likely to come equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a punch-hole design. It will have a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is also said to be equipped with an under-screen fingerprint scanner.

The POCO F5 may debut as the first Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2-powered phone outside of the Chinese market. It may ship with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As per the FCC certification of the device, it will arrive in three configurations, such as 8GB RAM +128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The F5 will come preinstalled with the Android 13 OS, which will be overlaid with the MIUI 14 skin.

On the front, the F5 may feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The 50-megapixel primary camera on the device’s back could be equipped with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It is also expected to come with other features like 5G, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear motor.

Poco F5 price in India (expected)

The Poco F4 5G was announced with a starting price of Rs 27,999 in India last year. Hence, it appears that the POCO F5 may arrive with a sub-Rs 30,000 starting price in India.
