POCO M2 Pro confirmed to feature 33W fast charging, Geekbench listing reveals Snapdragon 720G

POCO recently confirmed the launch of its next smartphone in India. As was speculated, the upcoming launch is called M2 Pro and will go official in India on July 7th at 12pm. The smartphone already has a microsite up on Flipkart, confirming that the phone will have fast charging support.

Now, the Flipkart landing page has been updated to reveal that the phone will offer 33W fast charging support. Additionally, the M2 Pro has been spotted on the website of the popular benchmarking platform, Geekbench. The listing revealed the smartphone will be powered by a mid-range Snapdragon chipset. The Geekbench listing of POCO M2 Pro was first spotted by MySmartPrice. The listing doesn’t have a model number, but is listed as Xiaomi POCO M2 Pro. The listing confirms that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 720G processor, which also powers the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.

Additionally, the Geekbench listing confirms Android 10 and 6GB RAM. We can expect the phone to have the latest MIUI interface and more than one variant in India. The POCO M2 Pro scores 554 points in the single-core test and 1757 points in the multi-core test.

Not only does the POCO M2 Pro shares its processor with the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, but also has support for the same 33W fast charging as well. The image confirming the fast charging support also gives us a glimpse at the back panel of the smartphone. The smartphone seems to have a similar square quad-camera module on the back.

A video on the microsite also hints at the presence of the side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Apart from these, not much is known about the upcoming phone yet, but from the information revealed so far, it appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
