As per past rumours, the POCO M3 Pro 5G is expected to arrive as a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G. However, there is no word on the launch timeline of the upcoming smartphone.

POCO M3 Pro 5G key specs confirmed

The POCO M3 is a sub-Rs 12k smartphone

According to the report, the POCO M3 Pro 5G will be the first 5G-compatible smartphone in the brand’s M-series. It will also be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. So far, POCO phones have featured Helio and Snapdragon processors in India.

Kevin says that the M3 Pro 5G is a sizeable upgrade from the standard M3 with a 60 percent increase in performance. He revealed that the M3 Pro 5G will be available in three colour options. The upcoming smartphone is also confirmed to feature a high refresh rate screen. It will pack more RAM and a faster storage module compared to the M3.

Meanwhile, POCO’s head of product marketing, Angus Ng said that the M3 Pro 5G won’t be positioned as a gaming smartphone but it will handle games at medium settings. We want to give people an easier way to switch to 5G. By giving them an option at a lower price point, they can experience 5G when they want to,” Ng added.

The POCO executives also revealed that the M3 Pro 5G will fall into the budget segment. It is expected to be priced similarly as the POCO X3 NFC and so the brand will discontinue the device after M3 Pro 5G’s launch.

Although no details on the processor or refresh rate were revealed, if the POCO M3 Pro 5G indeed turns out to be a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G, then the smartphone will come with a Dimensity 700 SoC and have a 90Hz refresh rate.

We can also expect the POCO M3 Pro 5G to launch in India since its standard variant as well as its predecessor had debuted in the country.
